| I began photographing as a hobby in 1996 after the birth of my first child.I had put a career in nursing on hold while my children were young. This hobby progressed to making photographic cards which I sold through various local shops. When the time came to think about my career again as my children reached school age,I felt it the right thing to do to try and carve out a career in photography.I spent the next three years at night school obtaining GCSE,and then A level photography. Since then I have staged several exhibitions on the Isle of man. I have photographed for the Manx Philatelic bureau producing images for three sets of stamps to date. My main speciality is in baby portraiture. I also have a passion for landscape and floura. As a Christian I am drawn to creational subjects which reflect the glory of God. What's New? Manx Churches has just been published after 3 years photographing Christian sites on the island. II have another trip to Bangalore planned for February this year. I will be photographing for the charity Action Saves Kids once again in an attempt to help raise money for this worthy cause. You can contact me on 01624 844999 or at vickyharrop@manx.net |
